- Photograph Specifications: Admission forms for both male and female candidates must be accompanied by two copies of blue-background passport-size photographs. These photographs must be duly attested by the Principal, Headmaster, or Headmistress of a High/Higher Secondary School or College operating within the jurisdiction of BISE Abbottabad. No other form of attestation is acceptable.
- Document Attachment Protocol: All photographs and essential documents must be securely pasted using glue and must not be stapled under any circumstances.

The Truth About Grace Marks, Examination Integrity, and Scholarly Rulings on Cheating
According to my information, the board notification mentions applications for grace marks starting from August 7. If a student has failed due to a shortage of just 3 marks, they deserve the right to grace marks. However, the board is asking students to apply for re-totalling first. Board authorities should clarify whether re-totalling is mandatory before applying for grace marks, or if a student can apply directly for grace marks, so that students can receive timely and accurate guidance.
I have reviewed Islamic scholarly verdicts (Fatwas) regarding cheating from various schools of thought across the internet.
- Scholars from all schools of thought (including Darul Uloom Deoband, Jamia Binoria Town, and Darul Ifta Ahl-e-Sunnat) have a unanimous verdict that allowing cheating, accepting recommendations, or neglecting duty by an examination supervisor is forbidden (Haram) and a breach of trust (Khiyanat).
- The salary earned in exchange for this corruption is religiously impermissible (Halal).
- If the thought comes to mind that “everyone is doing it, so what new thing have we done?”, remember the unanimous verdict of scholars that even if the whole world is committing a sin, it cannot become permissible for you. There are still many honest people in the education department.
- Anyone who thinks that trying to stop cheating might cause them personal harm should avoid taking on exam duty, or resign if there is no other choice; because once duty is assigned, no excuse is acceptable.
- The public should boycott such individuals and expose them if possible. They are the brokers of education.
- I urge such people to realize that what you consider a minor negligence is actually a major sin. If an unqualified person secures higher marks and gets a job on merit because of you, usurping someone else’s right, you will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment.
- Sometimes look at those innocent children whose marks are lower than those who cheated, and the kinds of things they have to hear in society.
- Everyone shares sectarian posts because criticizing someone else’s beliefs is easy, but when it comes to posts on social reform, we suddenly remember our relatives. Share this enough so that those facilitating cheating stop openly demanding bribes.
- Since this is the unanimous verdict of all scholars, it must be shared.
Note: The actions taken against cheating by the Chairman of the Kohat Board this year should also be implemented by the Abbottabad Board.
